St. Xavier's School, Sahibganj is a premier educational institution, one of the oldest Xavier institutions founded and established on the 21st of January, 1957. Affiliated to the Council for The Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi, this institution holds the proud privilege of being the only school in Sahibganj that offers its students the facility of answering their ICSE and ISC examinations from their home centre.

St. Xavier’s aims at the integral, personal formation of the youth of today, moulding them into competent, spiritually oriented, moral young individuals, ready to take on the challenges of the modern fast paced world. St. Xavier’s belongs to the Jesuit Order or ‘The Society of Jesus’, a Christian religious order, founded by Saint Ignatius of Loyola in 1540 and established in India by st. Francis Xavier, a zealous missionary of the order.

Time and again St.Xavier's has proved to be the pride of Sahibganj, with district toppers of ICSE and ISC emerging invariably from Xavier's.
